Homart Invited to 2016 Australia-China Complementary Health Products Expo
Homart Group was invited to the 2016 Australia-China Complementary Health Products Expo in Melbourne. The event was organised by Complementary Health Product Association(CHPA) and many of the founding committee members attended the forum. Other distinguished guests included VIC Minister for Small Business, Innovation & Trade Hon. Philip Dalidakis, former Minister of Immigration Hon. Nick Bolkus and National President of Pharmacy Guild Mr George Tambassis.
The CHPA has over 200,000 stores and up to 80 per cent market share of medical sales in China. There were more than 800 Chinese delegates attending, each owning around 200 pharmacies. All were visiting Australia to source locally made goods including vitamins, baby formula, alternate medicine and health drinks among other products.
Australian and New Zealand participants attended the event to promote over 2000 products including medical equipment, bandages and complementary medicines. Among these were business owners of large, well-known brands, including Chemist Warehouse, Blackmores, Swisse and Homart Group own CEO Lynn Yeh.
Furthermore, Chinese officials were also attending to assist companies file Chinese registrations of products and to assist with bureaucratic processes.
