Recently, Homart Group was invited to the NSW Parliamentary Lions Club Gala Dinner held at the Strangers Dining Room in the Parliament House. The invitation was from the President Stephen BROMHEAD LLM MP and Members of the New South Wales Parliamentary Lions Club Inc., The Premier of NSW – the Hon Mike BAIRD MP, founder of the NSW Parliamentary Lions Club- the Hon. and Helen SHAM-HO, NSW state ministers. Several Australian Members of the Parliament (MP) and their representatives were also invited to attend the ceremony.
The Parliament House of New South Wales is located in Sydney CBD. This 200 years old historical building inherits the King George Style, and is the oldest building in Sydney. The Lions Club of Sydney put a lot of effort into organizing the charity dinner in such a historical building, with displays and tapestries of unique designs demonstrating the history of Sydney. The Lions Club International (LCI) is a secular organization founded in 1917 by Chicago businessman Melvin JONES. The Lions motto reads, “We Serve”, and its members are dedicated to making the community a better place to live, work and grow. The Australian Branch was founded in 1947.
The objective of the charity gala dinner was to raise funds to support Chris Obrien Lifehouse and Sydney Neuro-Oncology Group.
