The HKABA NSW Business Chapter Awards 2013 was recently held at the Grand Hilton Hotel. This Business Awards ceremony was organised in the format of a Gala Dinner, and more than 400 guests were invited and were present at this prestigious event.
This year commemorates the 14th HKABA NSW Business Chapter Awards, and this award event is aimed at commending outstanding Australian corporations and companies that devote their time to international business, and these awards recognize their unique business spirit and their achievements. The HKABA NSW Business Chapter Awards has now turned into an annual grand ceremony in New South Wales ever since its establishment in 2000.
The distinguished guests who attended this year’s Gala dinner included Mr David LAWSON (State Director of the NSW & ACT Australian Trade Commission), Mr Ashley SPENCER (Operations Vice President Australasia at Hilton Worldwide), 李華新(Consul General of People’s Republic of China to Sydney), and Mr Jeffrey (Homart’s Operations Director), amongst many other honourable guests.
Mr. Gravin HO (President of the Hong Kong-Australia Business Association) expressed his opinion that 2013 was a very challenging year for many small-medium business, and the NSW Business Chapter Awards was able to give recognition to the courageous businesses which demonstrated tremendous entrepreneurial spirit to meet the challenges and overcome barriers, and this awards was truly to honour the efforts of all the winning enterprises.
The panel of this year’s NSW Business Chapter Awards was composed of the National Australia Bank, (NAB), Austrade, the Hong Kong Economic Trade and Cultural Office, (HKETCO) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).This year, entrants competed in a number of categories, including the Export of Goods/Services, Import of Goods/Services, Business Development and Business Excellence, as well as the Grand Award Winner out of these categories. The winners of these awards were: Sasy n Savy Pty. Ltd (Export of Goods/Services); Rockman Pty. Ltd (Import of Goods/Services) and Crown Pty. Ltd (Business Development and Business Excellence). The excellent Gala dinner also raised funds for Elderly Australian Chinese Homes.
