Homart Group Invited to 2016 Australia Week in China Business Delegates
Recently, Australia Week in China was held by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, the Minister for Trade and Investment, the Hon Steven Ciobo MP and accompanied by Special Trade Envoy the Hon Andrew Robb AO MP. Together with over 1000 Australian business elites, the purpose of this envoy to China was to build the bilateral relationship with our largest trading partner, demonstrating Australia as a trusted trade, investment, education and tourism partner with China.
Homart Group was among the elite businesses involved, participated in a series of events in Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. It was a great opportunity to meet and network with our Chinese counterparts, and hear from senior ministers and officials from both countries.
AWIC consisted of 140 events across 12 cities in greater China, with comprehensive sector programmes featuring eight industry streams that focused on opportunities arising from ChAFTA – Agribusiness, Financial Services, Health and Senior Living, Innovation Partnership, International Education, Tourism (managed by Tourism Australia), Premium Food & Beverage, Consumer and E-commerce and Urban Sustainability and Water Management.
China is Australia largest trading partner, with two-way trading reaching $130 billion last year.
