After a whole day of flying and another day on the road, Homart Pharmaceuticals representatives arrived in China’s Hunan Guzhang District Sun Village Primary School on the 27th of May to attend the education charity project opening ceremony. Homart Pharmaceuticals Asian Operations Director – Ms Cathy TSAI, on behalf of Homart Pharmaceuticals Managing Director – Ms Lynn YEH, attended this opening ceremony and delivered the love and care from Homart Australia.
Up to today, there is still no electricity in China’s Hunan Guzhang District Sun Village. Villagers cannot participate in any activities after sunset, and children are unable to study at night. When Homart heard about these situations, the company decided to help the village improve their facilities, and also build an activity centre for them. During the opening ceremony, Homart Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd and 2 other companies invested 114,500 RMB in total towards the village and the school. The money will be used to build a Multimedia activity room; a computer room; a basketball court; solar lights and a solar energy bathroom. This project will greatly improve the living conditions in the village and schools, which will enable the local children and community to enjoy better educational resources and living conditions.
The representative from Hunan Guzhang District expressed his sincere appreciation towards Ms Lynn YEH, the Managing Director of Homart Pharmaceuticals, who has always led the company in actively participating in social welfare and has supported many long term projects aimed towards this noble cause. The process of donation would be transparent to society, demonstrating the appropriate utilisation of such charitable actions.
