The Mid-Autumn social event for Australian working-holiday young workers, sponsored by Homart Pharmaceuticals, was recently held at Chatswood High School. This grand event was organised by the Australia Chinese Traders Federation and sponsored by Homart Pharmaceuticals and other institutions. The NSW Industrial Relations also assigned government officer Mr.Neil McGarvie to make a speech at the event. This event was held to gather all Australia working-holiday young workers together, sharing the interesting stories happened in Australia, which made the young workers experience the passion of overseas Chinese in Australia.
More than 150 Australian working-holiday young workers attended this event. At this traditional Chinese festival, not only could they enjoy their hearty hometown delicious food, but they were also presented with an opportunity to get to know more working information details in Australia. There were airline ticket prizes and many lucky draws on site for people to participate in as well. The young workers passionately interacted with each other, sharing their experiences with their jobs, as well as what they have seen and heard in Australia. This social event was held to unite young workers’ strengths, making them feel the passion and concern coming from their respective overseas Chinese communities.
