Australia’s Homart Pharmaceuticals held “The Caring Donation Charity Event” through the Shanghai Christian Qingxin Church (The Shanghai Christian Qingxin Church, established in 1860, was named as the first “Shanghai Presbyterian Conference Centre”).This is Homart’s second charity donation after the ‘Sponsor Deaf Individuals in Shanghai City Changning District’ held in July this year. The Shanghai Christian Qingxin church was the first church built by the North American Presbyterian church in Shanghai and has been recognised as one of the most time-honoured ancient churches in China . This event was conducted by Ms Angela CHEN, Operations Executive of Homart Pharmaceutical’s China branch, on behalf of Managing Director of Homart Pharmaceuticals Ms Lynn YEH. The people that attended this special event included the Qingxin church priest and representatives of the deaf students that would be the recipients of the donations from Homart Pharmaceuticals.
Homart Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd Australia donated hearing aids to all these deaf students. The church and deaf children expressed their appreciation towards the Managing Director of Homart Pharmaceuticals, Ms. Lynn YEH, for always being active and enthusiastic in social sponsorship and the well-being of society. Her spirit and notion of “Returning to society what it has taken” has in many years fulfilled its social responsibility. The church priest thanked Ms YEH for the great help towards the recipients. It is Homart’s donations that help them regain their hearing and ability to communicate with people. It was very warm to see the recipients to wear the hearing-aids with big smile. Church representatives thanked the overseas Chinese for their loving care and support towards the deaf children and wished Homart a prosperous future. The recipients of these hearing aids also thankfully and gratefully stated their appreciation and gratitude, expressing how lucky they felt to get the loving care and support from overseas Chinese despite their disabilities. They gratefully thanked Ms YEH for donating the hearing aids to them. (Each receives 2 hearing-aids).These hearing aids would help them recover from their loss of hearing and in turn improve their quality of life greatly. This act of kindness has brought convenience and much happiness into their lives, and they feel much more appreciated and confident in their daily lives in spite of their hearing impairment.
