Australian Homart Pharmaceuticals aims to bring people towards a healthy, balanced, happy life. In February 2013, a staff excursion to the Jenolan Caves in the Blue Mountains World Heritage area was organised. All employees and their family members were warmly invited to join in.
Early in the morning, employees from the Silverwater and Rydalmere factories assembled at Homart Pharmaceuticals’ new factory in Rydalmere. To start off the day, employees and their families visited each department of the new factory, and were introduced to the beautiful working environment, future development areas and the investment in social welfare. After visiting the 15,000 square metre newly decorated factory, families were deeply impressed by the showroom, conference areas, cGMP manufactory area, activity centre, dining room and Homart museum, a hundred year old historical site located in the beautiful natural reserve. Most of all, they were surprised by the natural, pure, work environment abundant in trees and plants.
After this, 50 to 60 people set out for the Blue Mountains. Half way there, all employees had a company lunch together in Katoomba town, where not only delicious food was served, but annual bonuses and Homart’s Annual Outstanding Staff Awards were issued by the managers. Then after an “everyone winning prize” drawing raffle, all people left for the Jenolan Caves relaxed and laughing. Homart Pharmaceuticals arranged two of the most popular Jenolan Cave activities including: A 2.5 hours ‘challenging’ group “Plughole adventure tour”, which is a must-have thrilling adventure requiring participants to squeeze, crawl and climb through winding, ancient passageways, with only a head lamp to light your way. Alternatively, another 1.5 hours ‘relaxing’ group “Lucas Cave Tour” was available, offering a spectacular experience in visiting Australia’s most outstanding cave system. After these two group activities, managers, all employees and their families strolled along the rivers and scenic bush tracks in the Blue Mountains World Heritage area, down to the Blue Lake to enjoy the native, wonderful, quiet atmosphere, and up to the waterfall area to experience the uncanny workmanship of nature. Australia’s Homart employees had an unforgettable trip and experience.
