Recently, Ms. Ye Beiling (Lynn YEH), the CEO of Homart was invited to the anniversary cocktail party of Australian Window of Taiwan Culture, held at concert hall of Willoughby city council. Over a hundred distinguished guests attended this grand event, which include Mr. Gladys Berejiklian, NSW Transport Minister, Mr. Pat Reill, Mayor of Willoughby City, Ms. Xiaoyue ZHANG, Taiwan representative in Australia, specially arrived at Sydney from Canberra, Jinfa ZHOU, director of the Taiwan Office in Sydney, Jiesong ZHENG, director of Chinese Cultural Centre, and many other Chinese representatives.
The Window of Taiwan Culture is located in Willoughby City Council Library. This specified area is opened in the new city council library and it is a special thankfulness to Chinese migrants’ contribution of city development and economy prosperity. It is named the Window of Taiwan Culture, for the purpose of displaying world famous Taiwan exquisite art lazurite workshop and Franz collection. It is not only a window to display exquisite art, appreciate the rich cultural assets in Taiwan by Australians, but also promote knowledge and understanding of Taiwan and further enhance culture exchange. These exhibits updated with the anniversary, among them is Franz the world famous exquisite Taiwan ceramic collections. Mr. Liheng CHEN, the director of Franz, displayed his boutique creations inspired by Van Gogh paintings and flowers, birds and other nature inspirations. Each piece is delicate, vivid, praised and left a deep impression of Taiwan fine art to the public.
Window of Taiwan Culture is highly regarded and widely visited by many official representatives since established, which include: Ms. Shuxian ZHU, wife of Wanchang XIAO, former Taiwan vice president, Huiling WANG, former national policy advisor. Both of them came from Taiwan for this special event and showed their appreciation to Chinese migrants who have done concrete actions to support the cultural exchange for a long time. Ms. Xiaoyue ZHANG, Taiwan representative in Australia, donated 5000 Chinese books to Willoughby Council Library to promote culture exchange and deepen the understanding of Chinese art.
